Kurdish Family of Five Massacred in Raqqa
A Kurdish family attempting to flee conflict in Raqqa was arrested and killed by Syrian army forces, according to reports by the human rights monitoring organization Community Peacemaker Teams (CPT). The victims—Muhammed Ismaeel Salih, Yousif Muhammed Salih, Sara Shahin Salih, Layla Muhammed Salih, and Avin Muhammed Salih—included two women, two men, and one child. Originally from Korki village near Kobane, the family had been previously displaced to Raqqa. CPT expresses grave concern over reports of civilians massacred while fleeing the war in Northeast Syria.
