On November 11th, the CPT Iraqi Kurdistan team met with Kak Qadir Hamadamin and his family in Shene village located in the Pishdar district.
Kak Qadir and his family talked about several incidents in their village in which Turkey and Iran bombed their village while deliberately targeting civilians which included relatives of Kak Qadir.
Kak Qadir told members of CPT, “Our village has always been a target for Turkish Armed Forces, Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and the previous Iraqi regime. Despite facing massacres, the destruction of our village and agriculture we have continued to stay here and resist. The only reason we have been targeted is that we are Kurdish.”
CPT Iraqi Kurdistan is concerned about the ongoing Turkish aerial strikes on Shene and other border villages that jeopardize civilian lives, harm the livelihood and income of civilians, and destroy agriculture and the environment.
