One killed during Turkish bombardment in Shiladze sub-district

On the morning of 18th July, Turkish fighter jets bombed Bariske billage in the Shiladze sub-district and killed a civilian, Osman Rjdi Rekani, 32 years old. Rekani was beekeeping in the early morning at the time of the incident, but be also served in the Peshmerga forces.

The Shiladze region has been one of the most impacted sub-districts by Turkish military operations. Local residents talk about the psychological trauma of daily Turkish bombardments in their area, as well as the loss of agriculture and income.

Turkish Armed Forces in Iraq Kurdistan have killed 9 civilians and injured 2 this year alone.
