On October 29th CPT met with the family of Badii Kamal, who was killed by artillery shelling on September 3rd of this year. Badii was a 29-year-old shepherd from Akwan village in the Sidakan sub-district. Jamal, Badii's uncle, told CPT, "On the day of the incident, Badii, my niece, and I were in Merga Hawsh, tending to our animals when the attack occurred, resulting in Badii's death." Jamal added, "I was taking his body to the foot of the mountain until my family arrived."

My right arm was hit by shrapnel, and it went numb immediately. I wanted to escape, but I couldn't. In that attack, eight of my animals were killed, and 16 animals were injured.'
